Stunning Custom Built Vintage Display Cabinet

Introducing our exquisite vintage cabinet, a true testament to timeless beauty and exceptional craftsmanship. This captivating piece features beautiful little drawers with different built in compartments. Can you guess what they were for?
Shortly after posting photos of this remarkable cabinet, a heart-warming message arrived from a lovely lady who recognized it immediately. She revealed that this cabinet was custom-built for an orthodontist in West Perth back in the early 1970s. It served faithfully until the late 1990s.  The lady expressed her delight in seeing it revived, sharing that the drawers were originally intended for holding orthodontist instruments. The orthodontist was her late father-in-law. It's truly a remarkable coincidence that connects people across time and space, filling us with a sense of awe and wonder.
Crafted from solid old-growth timber, this cabinet boasts beautiful craftsmanship. Each of its six drawers are meticulously constructed with dovetail joints and the drawer numbers are on the sides. The original drawer pulls are fashioned from chrome-plated solid brass.
Retaining its original inbuilt compartments from its days as an orthodontist cabinet, these have been restored and finished in a custom teal colour, perfectly complementing the interior of the two spacious cabinets below. The antique brass ball spring catches are seamlessly integrated into all four door frames.
Did you see the glass inside the doors with the gracefully bevelled edges, showcasing heavy, high-quality glass. Inside, each display area is finished in a pristine white and a fresh and modern print imported from the UK. Each side boasts an original glass shelf and metal supports. Overall, the piece is finished in a custom colour that can be described as a vintage dusty duck egg blue.
